Meet Felipe, the creative force behind ReyCast Media LLC and former Director of Operations at Univision Austin (now TelevisaUnivision Austin). In his 11+ years tenure, he served as Technical Director working the live Newscasts, Sr. Editor/Producer, and eventually as Director of Operations, overseeing a diverse team and the daily operations.
Felipe's expertise spans diverse productions—conceptualization, copywriting, shooting, editing, motion graphics, sfx—all shaping the final tone for clients spot or campaign. From aspiring the physics world to the dynamic realm of media, Felipe D Reynoso's career is a fascinating trajectory. An early opportunity at La Mejor 104.1 in Waco as a Board Operator redirected his path. Having dabbled in audio editing as a hobby, Felipe swiftly embraced expanded responsibilities, transitioning from audio editing to contributing to the production and editing of audio spots. Brief stints as on-air talent further fueled his passion for the media landscape.
In 2006, Felipe made his mind to move to Austin, Texas, taking on the role of Commercial Producer for seven radio stations at BMP Radio’s Production Department while concurrently pursuing a Multimedia Program at ITT Tech as a full time student where he was recognized with Highest Honors in a few courses of the program.
Ever the enthusiast for acquiring new skills, Felipe delved into video editing, leading to a pivotal role as Production Manager at Azteca América from 2009 to 2011, starting his career as professional video producer and editor. Felipe then became an independent producer working with local businesses in a world less influenced by Social Media.
In 2012, what was initially a temporary position at Univision Austin turned into an 11-year saga of growth and leadership. Felipe began as a Temporary Assistant to the Technical Director, swiftly learning the key functions of the position for the daily live Newscasts, exposing him to the world of live news gathering operations. A few months later Felipe transitioned to Producer and Editor for the station, working primarily on client TV spots and later; as Univision TV and Univision Radio merged into one, working on Radio spots and recordings where he was not a stranger.
As the media landscape kept evolving, so did Felipe where he started helping the Sales Executives create Social Media content for the station clients. Driven by an insatiable appetite for growth, Felipe assumed leadership of the Operations Department at Univision Austin. Overseeing Production, Activations and Promotions, Radio and TV talents, and Technical Director responsibilities, he played a pivotal role in orchestrating major station events, such as POSiBLE ATX; an entrepreneur summit mainly focused to the Hispanic entrepreneur community, or El Grito desde Austin. Felipe's exponential growth at Univision Austin is a testament to his dedication and prowess in the dynamic world of media.
